The "Pub" was poorly managed, as they had run out of basic drinks and I was seated at the wrong table. I had to stand awkwardly while waiting for a chair to be brought to me, and had to ask three different people where my chair was after about 10 minutes. After reading reviews on TripAdvisor, I had low expectations. I was disappointed to find out that they had no vegan options for my wife who ordered the vegan roast, and the children's pizza was of terrible quality. This was our first and definitely last visit to this establishment. Even Gordon Ramsay would struggle to improve this place unless they undergo a full overhaul of staff, menu, and ambiance. I haven't dined at this restaurant since the pandemic started. It is beautifully decorated and the service was very attentive, friendly, and even quite humorous. They made an effort to accommodate our request for no tartar sauce and offered an alternative. The lunch menu had a lot of choices and was reasonably priced for a village pub. It was a pleasant and cozy way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Very nice lunch on Saturday, the fish&chips were very tasty, the batter light and crispy. The staff were very polite and created a relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be back.
