The bartender was fantastic and made our experience enjoyable. However, we were disappointed with the breakfast plate. It arrived extremely hot, but unfortunately, the food tasted overcooked. The hash browns were greasy, the sausages seemed to be microwaved, and the toast was thin bread rather than proper toasting bread. Additionally, there was a lot of grease on the plate. We were the only customers at the time, which made our experience feel even more lackluster.
Have spent the weekend with family in Irlam and ate at The Nag's pub on Saturday for tea and Sunday for a carvery. Food was fabulous and the staff made us feel very welcome. Currently showing sports on TV. There is a small play area for children so there is something at the Nag's for everyone. The pub has many links to the community and actively involved with local charities. If you haven't already been, you don't know what you're missing! Kathryn, Wirral
We recently held a surprise party for my Dads 80th Birthday in the function room upstairs. Firstly Josh made the planning of the event very easy for me. Clear pricing , communication and assurance that everything would be all right on the night . We all had a great night , all the staff were lovely and food was fab !! The pub has certainly changed and for the better such a lovely family environment . Thank you for making Dad’s night a memorable one !!
By 10:30, our breakfast finally arrived, but it was disappointing. The mushrooms were greasy, the sausage was tough, the hash browns were burnt, the fried bread was charred, and the eggs were overcooked. I informed the staff about the issues, and they simply smiled and thanked me. While the staff were friendly, they seemed to be lacking in hospitality skills and culinary expertise. So very impressed with The Old Nags Head. The staff and owners go out of their way to welcome you and the menu is well thought out and delicious. The pub usually has offers on the food and the desserts are just mind blowing! Best pub in Manchester! Competitively priced and a fantastic atmosphere. Bravo all!
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The service and food were both excellent. The owners and staff truly went above and beyond to ensure our visit was fantastic. The dishes were beautifully presented, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We can't wait to come back soon.
