The Old Stag - Reserva de mesa

After visiting The Old Stag numerous times for different family events over the last 5yrs, sorry to say I will never be going back, after the apoling service and attitude we had last night (16th September), place our order and when the mains came out one was wrong, the attitude of the waiter's was awful, no apology just let me check, then was accussed of ordering wrong, not sorry I took the order wrong, then the so called manageress, spoke rudly to my partner when I'd pop to toilet. When ask to speake to her, was basically told we upset the waiter's and it was our fault we ordered wrong.. then to too it off of of the locals stuck her oar.. probably getting free drinks now....

Definitely recommended. Had a lovely meal here, great value and massive portions. If it hadn't been our last evening in Wales, we would definitely have come here again. There's so many options to choose from on the menu. Added bonus it's dog friendly! It was quite busy when we went in, think we were lucky to get in when we were did, so would recommend booking to guarantee a table.

It's a lovely old pub with lots of character. 3 of us had a fabulous Sunday lunch. Pork, Beef and Lamb. All absolutely superb quality and generous portions. The staff were very friendly and efficient with a special thanks to Lucy who was more than helpful. We fully recommend this place and will be returning very soon

Right across the road from our guest house, a really friendly pub which although they couldn't find our booking they made a table up immediately, the food was very good, we weren't mad on the starters the prawns were a bit dissapointing but the mains were excellent, best pie in the country we'd definitely come back Reserva una mesa ahora

This is a really great wacky old pub in a lovely village. Ceilings and walls covered in stuff from a stuffed crocodile to stags heads, skis, and all sorts of metal objects. Landlady Maria from Tipperary is all the hostess you'd want and the food is great and super value especily if you've got a huge appetite!

The vibe was great, food great but the staff brings this review straight down, one staff in particular who was extremely rude towards the other staff as some would class it as bullying, which the rest of my family agreed with. Unsure of the name but she worked on the bar, this has put me off coming again.

Fantastic wee pub with excellent food and friendly staff. There was 7 of us and we ate here while staying in this lovely village. None of us could fault anything about this place. If eating at the weekend, recommend that you book as it gets busy due to its excellent hospitality and food.

Another great visit to the Old Stag varied tasty food at good value prices. It was Boxing Day and a group of twelve of us, everyone enjoyed their meal just didn’t leave enough room for desserts! Lucy and the bar staff looked after us well. Reserva una mesa ahora

The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us. The food was very nice I had the pizza and the rest of them had the chicken and chips all of us had the same thing to say in that the food is beautiful. I would highly recommend for food

A fine old pub with hearty food, local ales and local news. A smallish village and this place is at its heart!
