First visit to this lovely pub/brasserie and it won't be the last. We had soup of the day and scallops to start. The soup was full of flavour and the bread was light and crusty. My scallops were fat, sweet and perfectly cooked in a delicious sauce. The mains, seafood risotto and venison were both very tasty. The seafood risotto had a piece of squid on top which was a little chewy, something that can happen unfortunately but the rest of the risotto was fine and full of seafood. This cozy old pub is located in the heart of Bingley, with a lovely beer garden right on the river. We enjoyed a drink while waiting for our group to gather, before ordering from the 2 courses for £17 menu. The options were great for meat-eaters but limited for vegetarians. The starters were simple but nicely presented. My main course, the Tarragon roast chicken, was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were crisp. I particularly enjoyed the creamy almond sauce. Best restaurant quality food in the Aire and Wharfe valley. We go regularly. Food is freshly cooked and always excellent. Staff are always kind, helpful and nice. We understand they are short staffed and that you have to wait longer for your food but it is worth it because the food is such good quality. Yesterday the scallops were fresh with chorizo and a pepper sauce, the belly pork melted in your mouth. No room for dessert unfortunately.
We reserved a Boxing Day lunch with the family and it was fantastic! The food was fabulous and the service was friendly. Our daughter has a dairy allergy, but that was no issue at all. We all loved our starters and main courses (we were too full for dessert!) and we found it to be great value for the price. We will definitely come back. A solid 5-star review.

Visited for the first time for a meal before Christmas. Pleasantly surprised as a good choice of menu, good sized portions, food piping hot (a nice change from many places). Lovely ambience inside, helped by being sat next to the roaring log burner. Staff really good and friendly, Will definitely visit again would suggest making a reservation as it was full.
This lovely rustic pub has cozy and quirky traditional interiors with a log fire. The Sunday lunches are amazing, especially with a great selection for vegetarians. The vegetarian roast with a drink is priced at £18, offering great value and excellent service.
A lovely afternoon, one of our party has a severe allergy, but this was not a problem. The food was amazing, good portions and delicious too. I had the lamb rump from the Christmas menu and it was delicious. Great atmosphere and fantastic food

The food was excellent, the pie was delicious and cooked to perfection ! The waitress was excellent too and nothing too much trouble. Great value and lovely place!
