The Oriental Chinese

Second review. Once again I was visiting relatives in Kimberley, this year we had a take-away rather than eating in. A few logistical things: the restaurant is where the old Ozone bar used to be and has kept the sign; credit cards accepted; although the restaurant is in the Nottingham conurbation, it's actually in Kimberley, a few miles north of the city. The food was simply superb, huge portions for reasonable prices, with kind professional service (as we were in China in August we know our Chinese food! We will be back!

Took a chance on this Chinese restaurant/takeaway as my usual one has revamped and doesn’t deliver so opted for a delivery ordering one of the set boxes which was a sweet chicken and rice I asked to change it for pork balls and rice and they was perfectly ok with that, told me 30 mins delivery wasn’t a minute over steaming hot and I’d eat the lot in 10 mins would use again definitely recommended

We eat at this little takeaway often. The eating area is small with plastic table cloths so no frills. But the food is fantastic. The owner makes me a dish with fried bean curd, broccoli and cashew nuts in chilli garlic sauce. It’s fantastic my husband loves the mixed meat starter and has a similar main course to me but his has king prawns instead of bean curd.

Offers mainly a take-away service, although there is a small eat-in area (we ate in). Don't expect luxury. Instead expect excellent Chinese food at rock-bottom prices in a small, friendly, family-run restaurant. Credit cards accepted. It was a huge pleasure to be back in the area and to visit this restaurant for the first time since 2017. Nothing had changed. The food was gorgeous. The portions enormous. The prices reasonable. They do eat in and take away. I went for take away this time, 1 x beef chow mein 1 x sweet sour chicken 2 x egg fried rice £20.

I was visiting relatives in Kimberley again so was back to this restaurant. Third review. I ordered a take-away, although they also have a small eat-in area. The food was prepared in a few minutes, and was excellent for a very reasonable price £26.50 for eight dishes).

First time we had tried this place for a take away. Chicken in the dishes looked like it had been boiled in water, very rubbery. Other dishes very watered down and runny. No taste at all. Very expensive for the small amount of food we ordered. Would not use again.

We ordered a meal for delivery on New Year’s Eve 2019. Well priced, great Value For Money. Very tasty selection, not at all gloopy! Delivered on time, too. We’d definitely return for another one. Reserva una mesa ahora
