we were two pairs of nz celebrating a 60th birthday. the food was nice; very fresh and tasty. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. the restaurant is located directly on the beach and a great location. the restaurant is quite small and it felt a bit cramped, but it is in no way distracted from a beautiful experience.
overall I thought the pantry was quite disappointing. service unfriendly, food average. the best is the location and the beach view. would not go back. better eating, atmosphere and service in boat house around the corner at shelley beach.
I recently had my birthday dinner at the pantry. I was here and was impressed and this time I was more like that! eating was absolutely amazing....so much choice, excellent quality and presentation. I can't wait to go back!

eating, looking, service. everything was in front of place. Even my sister-in-law, who can be a bit picky what she eats, was super impressed by the choices to dinner!
A delightful birthday dinner for my granddaughter. Wonderful food, great service, perfect atmosphere and welcoming and friendly staff what more could one want!
I enjoyed a light lunch here and while the meal was good, the view is definitely the most delicious thing about The Pantry.

"Had the fish and chips and it wasn't too bad at all. I reckon it could be a bigger serving given the price. A good place to take your family out for a nice dinner."
