The Pasta Shoppe Bakery and Fine Foods by Beat the Wheat

I've tried this pasta shop several times. Located on Main street in Bracebridge they have created an innovative new non-wheat pasta that actually tastes good. They also sell butter tarts and dinners. They are constantly working to perfect their pasta recipe so it is always different. I like that you can buy frech pasta there. I mentioned to the owner that I couldn't eat eggs and she said she would work on something that I might be able to eat since of course pasta is flour eggs and water. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They love to hear feedback from customers. If you can't eat wheat you should definatly check this place out.

Wonderful yummy pasta lunch with a girlfriend we both totally enjoyed it! I've been on Plant base eating ...so lovely to know many of us are out there looking for restaurants the serve healthy meatless food! Good to know this sweet place has moved to a bigger restaurant! My friend n I were both thinking that this new place needs some cool pizzazz.. To give the place style to match what they are trying to do! Food is good.... Ambience is lacking but hopefully this will change...

Just had lunch here with my husband. We had the cold pasta salad, which I thought was pretty good and I'm not a big pasta fan. But my husband was totally turned off by the flies and the fact that some food was out in the open, such as the fresh baked goods, and flies landing on the food and buzzing around. He was too polite to say anything and walk out of the restaurant while I was ordering the food. Too bad about the flies because it might've been a pleasant lunch.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. My wife had the cold pasta salad which she thought was very good. I however was distracted by the flies in the restaurant and noticed that the baked goods were not covered. Bread was left on shelves with no covering or enclosures and left exposed to the flies. We find it difficult sometimes to find food for lunch that meets our standards. Food in the USA and Canada being too "industrialized" disappoints us more than once.The Pasta Shoppe gave us a "waw" feeling: nice, fresh, tasteful homemade food. We really enjoyed and would recommend it to anyone visiting Bracebridge or the area.

I love the Pasta Shoppe...the pasta and sauces are so fresh and tasty and they are always have some new items to try. The cold pasta salad is one of the best I have ever had and the baked goods are excellent. Love the maple butter tarts and cinnamon buns!! This is my favourite place to eat in Bracebridge!!

As someone who is gluten free, looking for somewhere to eat was difficult, but then we happen to pass this place. Everything was gluten free and the food was exceptional to such an extent my wife said the food was better than non-gluten! Totally recommend the Lemon and Poppyseed Muffin!

I bought a large vegetarian lasagna and eggplant parmesan for a dinner party from The Pasta Shoppe. They were both delicious. Everyone at the party raved about the food. I will definitely go back to The Pasta Shoppe again for catering. Reserva una mesa ahora

Stopped in for take out. Daughter ordered a pasta with red sauce. The pasta was under cooked and the red sauce was a bit watery and bland. The makings are there, but they really need to up their game. Butter tarts are fairly good.

Nice gluten free restaurant / bakery. The cinnamon buns were very tasty. The brownies are good too but one would be enough for 2-3 people to share as they are very rich & chocolatey. They have 5-6 tables for eat-in.
