I visited The Peacock Pub on Saturday before noon after traveling from the southwest to watch the match between The Posh and Argyle. I was happy to find that the pub was welcoming to away fans, including myself and other Argyle supporters. The pub itself is typical of those near football grounds, but the staff were friendly and accommodating. The beer garden was pleasant, and I especially enjoyed a Cornish pint of Doom Bar on tap. The meals were reasonably priced and tasty, perfect for a pre-match meal. The pub had plenty of TVs showing the pre-match game on Sky Sports, as well as a pool table for entertainment. Since under new ownership The Peacock has improved so much, it is honestly amazing. At The Peacock you have something for everyone from live music nights to an amazing dj and disco, to karaoke nights and live sports on the television and pool tables! The staff are all so lovely and welcoming! They make your time at The Peacock that more enjoyable! Drinks are all reasonably priced and on Friday’s and Saturday’s they do cocktails which are amazing!! They are different and so yummy! Thank you to everyone at The Peacock for making my time there so brilliant. I will see you soon!!
Absolutely terrible place .. dirty .. grime all over , awful bar staff.. I’m sure they are charging what ever they want for drinks as both pints I ordered where different prices .. selling foreign cigarettes.. the landlord is a disgusting person who speaks down to you . Smells awful as the landloser is smoking in the pub. The locals look like they have crawled out the bins in the back. Only decent thing is the Thai food .. avoid this place at all costs..
Great friendly staff landlady and landlord made us all feel welcome very clean and friendly place from staff and the regulars ….atmosphere is amazing day and night with entertainment for both children and adults with closed off garden area and parking ..we will definitely be going again

I like playing tournament style pub poker with friends so it's great that this central pub is doing a poker night. They start at 7pm and how long you're there depends on how good you are and how lucky you are I guess. Really friendly and lots of fun.
Friendly, welcoming staff and good food! I don't normally enjoy going out on my own but my husband was at the beer festival so I stopped in here for some dinner. Reasonably priced, freshly prepared food and the staff was lovely.
The staff at this restaurant is fabulous and friendly. The freshly cooked food is absolutely fantastic, with great meats and overall delicious dishes. The value is excellent and it is definitely worth checking out for yourself.
Staff is amazing food is amazing perfect place for family to have a nice time out. Staff are very friendly and live music is fun to have a sing and dance to. I recommend highly if wanting fun time out with friends and family.

The management and some staff at this restaurant had a negative attitude, making us feel unwelcome and even being verbally abusive when we tried to address any concerns.
The people that work here are miserable and rude. Come across like they think they’re better than you. Not friendly at all.
