Got to admit that I regularly have Sunday lunch at the peacock and never have a meal that isn't of the highest standard , but felt obliged to write this review as my meal today surpassed all expectations. Absolutely superb Roast Beef Sunday lunch which melted in the mouth and was cooked to the perfection you would expect from a top end 5 star restaurant. Faultless and fabulous value, would highly recommend
Went for tea on a wet and grey day. Was plenty of seating as we were quite early for tea. Lots of choice on the main menu and was impressed by the kids menu too. It was split into “under 5s” “over 5s” and “older kids”. Food came out relatively quick and was hot and tasty. All very reasonably priced too. Will be back! :
The food at this restaurant is very reasonably priced. Our group of 6 adults and 2 children finished all of our meals. I must commend the serving staff here, as the service is exceptional and even better than some high-end restaurants or hotels. Thank you for taking such great care of us once again!
Today we held a celebration of life for my wife Julie and the Peacock did the catering. The staff were very good and the food was plentiful and good. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food is reasonable priced and always delicious. I have visited fpr lunch a few times with my friend, we normally have a jacket potato or baguette, we have never had a bad meal and have always been happy with the service. I would definately recommend.
This restaurant is a hidden gem that you'll want to keep to yourself to avoid it getting too busy. The Sunday lunch was fantastic, the beer was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, the prices were fair, and there was parking available. I will definitely return.
Recently moved to the area and popped into the peacock for a drink, it has now become our new local, we’ve been made to feel very welcome by Jane Andy Nathan and the team, dog friendly, brilliant food and great range of drinks!
