The Pier Bistro - Reserva de mesa

Fish and chips were really nice as was the soup. The service was very good also. The only gripe I have is that it was very expensive for what it was. $28 for a one piece halibuti and chips?! Three of us went there for lunch, two had soup and we each had a drink with our fish and chips. Our bill, including 18% tip was $160! I think the pricing must be geared towards tourists not locals. Way more expensive than other places nearby.

I ordered take-out, waitress is nice and service is fast. Seafood clam chowder was good, but the fish and clam portions were very skimpy. The Pier bistro sauce is the best thing on the plate, but I'm very disappointed in the crab cakes. ? They were made from mostly imitation crab and very little real crab.

I don't often get into Sidney but if I'm anywhere near , I Have to stop at Pier Bistro. Their Crab cakes and Thai Salad freaking amazing !! And today , my server, Lisa was a machine with the full house. She deserves a raise !! I was going to take half home , but it was SO good , I couldn't stop eating !!

Got a clam chowder and crab cake combo. Came with a decent-sized soup bowl, two pieces of flat bread, and two crab cakes. One of the best clam chowders I've had in a while! And the crab cakes were delicious! Good amount of crab. The flatbread was just okay—wish they came warm or toasted. Reserva una mesa ahora

Very nice little place on the pier, with an incredible view from the covered patio and awesome food. The fish and chips, the chowder and the crab cakes were perfectly cooked and tasted great. Service was very good.

Had the 2-piece cod and chips. Good food, excellent service. A beautiful sunny day! Who could quarrel with that? However, the restaurant does require refurbishing especially the floor which is very tacky.

I'm a 2 Michelin star chef from New York and wanted to try out local food. The food was absolutely good. But the only gripe I had was that they charge $9 for a can of beer.
