Been here quite a lot over the years and it’s always been ok, however last couple of times, the food hasn’t been great. Yesterday I ordered a BBQ cauliflower wings starter I usually have the salad but it’s gone up to a ridiculous price of over £12! The starter was not far from £6. When it arrived I wished I’d taken a photo, so sad looking , very poorly presented. The ‘rocket’ looked soggy and limp like it was a week old at least. There was no crispy onions or lime wedge as it says in description. It was presented in the kind of small baking dish used in the oven, not a nice plate. Recently went to the Pipe Major on three consecutive Sundays with friends and family. Hadn't been there for a while, but glad we returned. The food was amazing and plenty of it. The service was very quick and the staff friendly. We didn't choose the carvery, but will try next time, looked very appetising!

Stopped by on our way home and didn't really fancy a big meal so opted for a selection of sides and starters. Restaurant was busy but calm and the staff were happy to help with anything that was asked of them. Food arrived quickly and was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. Highly recommend

Excellent place we visit every fortnight, staff are very friendly welcoming accommodating, always get the table we ask for we’re possible food is excellent never had any complaints, we’re been going there every since they open and still going.

The staff at this restaurant are friendly, attentive, and consistently go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience. Julie and her team are always willing to help and ensure you have all that you need.

My husband, children, and I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The bar staff and waitress were lovely, the food was delicious, and they had a great selection of drinks. We will definitely be coming back.

This is a food pub, but it stops serving food before 8:00pm. How disappointing is that? A food pub that doesn't serve food. I would recommend avoiding this chain in the future.

Website says they open at 11.00am and start food service at 11.30. Turned up with my mother at 11.20 and its closed. Opens at 12 apparently. Update your website

Just had a lovely meal at the Pipe Major and looked after by the amazing Julie, the service was impeccable and the gin was amazing, thoroughly recommend

Out with my work mates had a great time. The girls serving were lovely and food great. Good little pub
