We had a 2 night break in beautiful Windsor taking in all of the historic attractions castle and many others we were lucky enough to visit the piper art bar hoping to eat but they were so busy with food and could not fit us in however we decided to stay for drinks and that was the best decision we had made all weekend as the staff were fantastic there hospitality was amazing and friendship second to none , as we sat enjoying our drinks one of the staff came with a plate of chips and a apology for not b able to accommodate us for a meal very welcome as we were hungry there friendship continued during the rest of the night giving us advise on Windsor and places to stay etc and have invited us...
We received a friendly greeting but it went down hill from there. We ordered and paid for our Sunday lunch at the bar at about 1pm, as directed. We then waited for about 40 minutes for our two roast beef dinners to arrive. My husband went to check what was happening and was told there was, a problem with the till. There was no apology or check made with the kitchen. When we had waited for nearly an hour he checked again and we finally received an apology and our food arrived 5 minutes later. The roast beef tasted pre cooked and re heated and the Yorkshire puddings were Aunt Bessie 's (or similar) although we did see proper ones....just not on our plates. The roast potatoes were good the one...
This charming pub has everything you could want. The interior decor is fantastic, with artwork adorning every wall. It is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff at the bar are very friendly. The food is excellent, offering typical pub fare with a little something extra - I haven't tried the Haggis, but it looks appetizing. Marcus served us and was incredibly accommodating. This dog-friendly pub, located in the heart of Windsor, is a wonderful spot for both visitors and locals.
I want to express my gratitude to Gillian, Karen, and the team at The Piper Art Bar. My son's 21st birthday party was a huge hit, and everyone had a fantastic time. The guests absolutely loved the pub, with many of them experiencing it for the first time. The combination of outdoor space and interior design was perfect for both day and night events. Food is amazing and staff were out of this world, especially Hayley who went out of her way to make us feel welcome and even took the time to make sure we had the best lunch even though she was clearly rushed off her feet. The art work is a must see too. We will definitely be returning on our next trip.
We were looking for a place for dinner on a Monday afternoon following a day at Windsor Castle. The place was not busy at the time so easy to get a table and it was accessible to a wheelchair. The staff were friendly, the Fish Chips was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
