WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! My family and I went to this tavern after celebrating a wedding to continue our joyous night. When we arrived we were met with discrimination, intolerance, and frankly racism. The bartender/manager that was working the bar refused to serve our entire group of around 30 people that walked in to drink and play pool because supposedly ONE of our 30 did not have proper identification. This one individual that was missing proper ID was visibly of the appropriate age to be drinking if not older (respectfully). I regret to leave a negative assessment as one bartender was nice, and I was even ready to be patient about her unconsistent hours and never to be sure if and when they would have a cook. Finally, many places today have such problems. But a minimum of $25?! Forget to show and do here for one. So let's review: Not sure when they will be open or not, despite which hours they have posted, not sure if and when they have a cook and therefore available food and a $25 minimum? This place has so much potential to be a wonderful little dive, but it measures badly. Go somewhere else.
It’s not often that I come across a bar that feels so unwelcoming and neglected, but Buffy managed to hit all those notes. As a local from Kenilworth, I went there with some friends on a Tuesday, and for some reason, I must have upset the bartender because I felt pretty embarrassed to be there. I recommend you choose somewhere else. Honestly, anywhere would be better than that place.

This place was great! I went there with my team after our band test. I really appreciated that it wasn't too crowded, as it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The bartenders were able to craft a decent drink, and there was plenty of eye-catching candy to enjoy as well.
It is not often that I come across a bar that makes me feel unwelcome, unwanted, and ignored. Buffy's achieved all three of these things. As a resident of Kenilworth, I had a negative experience at this establishment.

On June 20, 1974, just before my graduation from Brearley, I visited this place while I was back in town. Ah, the good old NJ Bar!
Classic dive bar close to home and good prices. Pool and darts!
