I have never written a review on Trip advisor before but I felt obliged to after the disgraceful experience we had for lunch today! I attended the Plough and Harrow for a mid-week lunch with my Grandparents. The pub itself is lovely and the furnishings are beautiful, so I was expecting quality food to match! Both myself and my Gran ordered the light bite Beetroot and Goats Cheese Salad. This was £12.95. The food took around 30 minutes to arrive and when it did I was shocked by what was put in front of us. I didn’t think anywhere could get a simple salad wrong, but this place has proven me wrong! The salad consisted of two lettuce leaves, 3 orange segments and the tiniest amount of beetroot a...

We have been twice, once with friends and once with family. First time was November 23, second time was Jan 24. On both occasions my wife was served her wine in a glass that had lipstick on it. On the first visit when I took the glass back the guy behind the bar just said sorry and poured the same wine in to another glass, only to find that glass was also dirty. He then went away and came back with a clean glass and poured a fresh glass. Problem sorted, no drama and the food was amazing. We then decided to go again in Jan 24 because the food was so good, but yet again, when we ordered wine, it turned up in a glass with lipstick around the rim, glass and wine was changed with no issue but the...

After getting lost and needing to eat we happened across here. There is disabled parking near the entrance and a very large car par. Inside it is large and spacious and appears to be split into different eating areas. There is a disabled toilet separate from the main toilets. We both had the lamb roast and in all honesty when it arrived we both thought we would be having something else to eat when we got home due to the shortage of vegetables. However the lamb was exceptionally large and really well cooked and everything was a delight to eat. We couldn’t have eaten any more on the plate if we’d wanted to, however they need to tweak the amount of vegetables, it needed slightly more and slight...

We went as part of a large group of a dozen in December for our evening meals. The place was full with diners, but the three young staff who served us were very good, as was the food, With a different group of 10 in January, again good service. The food was good, the others agreed, although I agree with another reviewer that the Malay curry was disappointing (and too spicy for me. I wanted to post this review to achieve some balance, especially with some of the December reviews, when the place may well have been rather short staffed. Reserva una mesa ahora

Newly refurbished with a relaxing feel this pub ticks all the boxes for atmosphere. There are a couple of vegan options on the menu labelled and a couple not labelled for some reason that come to light upon enquiry. I had the vegan Malaysian curry which was tasty but quite small. The houmous starter was spot on though. I’d happily return with a group if they chose the place but wouldn’t rush back unless they offered more choice.

We have been coming for some years. We always thought it was a quite refined pub. Recently, this has not been the case mostly because of staff and people being excessively loud. We were shocked to see that there were members of staff at the table where this was happening. Being a family, I have to say it is quite inappropriate as you hear many expletives being thrown around very loudly.

On a recent visit to the area we went to The Plough Harrow for Sunday lunch and had the carvery. The choice was fab and the food quality was really good. I'm not usually a fan of carvery but this was lovely. I particularly enjoyed the cauliflower cheese! We had a lovely round table and the service was friendly. I thought it was excellent.

Visited 24 August 2020 whilst staying at a nearby campsite. Chose the Sunday vegan roast which I've had before at other Brunning Price restuarants. However, it was a bit mushy, and lacked texture. Vegetables were cooked well, apart from the roast potatoes which tasted like they'd been reheated. No vegan dessert options. Reserva una mesa ahora

Lovely pub let down by poor service and food presentation ! Service was slow and our waitress was untrained! Food tasty but was sparse and poorly presented on oversized plates ! Always happy to pay premium prices but the food and service has to back it up !! Will not return
