Not only do they have an amazing unique sandwich, killer fries, good beer, a really fun basement atmosphere that serves food till two in the morning... They also have good people. Yeah yeah owner and managers Take care of their clients. But there's one story in particular, that came out of nowhere. I'm waiting outside for a friend, and I see someone that is not fully and mentally capable go in and wait in line. A minute later, he comes outside with fries. He has signs of a mental disorder. He's talking to himself and looking around and acting a little erratic. About to enjoy his french fries when an employee walks out from behind the counter. Employee, he's very direct with him and tries to...

This place serves some genuinely authentic New Orleans cuisine, complete with a coconut from the Zulu Krewe at the bar—a highly sought-after Mardi Gras throw. Living in the northwest, where it's tough to find true Cajun and Creole dishes, I was thrilled to discover Abita beer on tap and enjoy a real shrimp po'boy made with Leidenheimer bread. I also tried a muffuletta po'boy since I couldn't find a decent one in Atlanta, along with a cup of jambalaya. The jambalaya was packed with meat, not just rice, which is exactly how it should be, and it was delicious. The muffuletta featured a spicy olive salad that was a bit hotter than I’m accustomed to, but it still tasted fantastic. I only spent a...

The downstairs portion is labeled as a bar, but it functions more like a spacious dining room with table service, similar to a Taco Mac. While there is a full bar, most patrons are there for a meal at the tables. One evening, we brought our one-year-old baby to a downstairs table during dinner hours. A server informed us that children were not allowed in the downstairs area, and we were asked to leave. We complied without causing a scene but felt that the situation was handled poorly. A more considerate approach would have been appreciated, especially given that we had a baby with us. We do enjoy the food here, but this strict policy feels exclusionary towards parents. The downstairs area d...

This was my first visit to The Po Boy Shop. The customer service was good, and the atmosphere was inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations. The portion sizes were quite small compared to the prices. I ordered the chicken po boy, and my sister opted for the shrimp po boy. Both sandwiches were mostly bread with very little filling. My sandwich contained just two small chicken strips, with the rest being lettuce and tomato, and my sister's sandwich was similar. We ended up spending nearly $50 for the two of us, which included two sandwiches, a small order of fries, and two small drinks. We were still hungry afterward. After takin... Reserva una mesa ahora

I had my first visit to this restaurant recently. It was a bit tricky to locate, but once we entered, it had a warm and inviting atmosphere. There wasn't a host stand, so we weren't quite sure where to go at first. However, one of the servers quickly greeted us and told us we could sit anywhere we liked. The service was excellent, but the food was just okay. I ordered a large shrimp Po boy sandwich. The sauce wasn’t to my liking, but that's because I'm not a fan of mayo. The ambiance is fantastic, and I'm open to giving it another try in the future. One downside was that the smoking area is right at the front entrance, so we had to walk through a cloud of smoke both when entering and leaving...

Love this place, best po 'boy I 've had in this area. The bread is bakery fresh nice seasoning on the seafood (I 've had the shrimp oyster po 'boys). When you walk-in you will see the order/pick-up counter with a few tables to eat. If you go downstairs, that 's where the real party is...bar, slot machines, gives you a piece of NOLA. I haven 't dined in yet but seems like a cool spot to eat vibe. They also have pre-bottled cocktails for purchase which I thought was cool. The shop fries are tasty, perfect marriage of fry potato chip and the taste of bread pudding on the menu was a huge portion and pretty good. Definitely recommend this place! Parking is free, shared plaza lot with other restau...

While visiting a friend in Atlanta he suggested this place for lunch. We arrived approximately 11:45am. Counter to order is in front of the door with not much seating (all full today). My friend asks if the bar is open and we went downstairs. Wow way bigger down there. They have games, pool tables and plenty of seating. I ordered Shrimp Po'Boy Sandwich and a side of Gumbo. I also tried the red beans and rice. The Po'Boy was delicious perfect amount of shrimp (blackened) sauce, bread roll slightly toasted. I tried a taste of my friend's red beans and rice at it was really good. On the other hand the gumbo was just ok, nothing spectacular. Service was good and fast.

My husband has been wanting to try this place and so we did one Saturday afternoon. We ordered the fried shrimp Po boy and the oyster Po boy which were average. We also ordered fries, bread pudding and a cup of gumbo. The bread pudding and fries were good but that gumbo, tasted like garbage! Seriously!!! That was the worst gumbo that I have ever tasted!!! I would have rated it one star just for the gumbo...but overall our entire experience was average. Nothing special about this place. We also found a vein in our shrimp! We do not plan on dining here again. Reserva una mesa ahora

I placed my order at the counter and was greeted right away. I went for my usual favorite—the fried shrimp Po' Boy. My sandwich and fries came out surprisingly quickly. I was very satisfied with the Po' Boy; the bread is crucial, and they nailed it. I ordered the small size, and it was more than enough for a lunch portion. Overall, I was very happy with my experience. It truly reminded me of a small Po' Boy shop back home in New Orleans. This place is 100% authentic, and I will definitely be returning—though I wish it were a bit closer to me!
