The Porter House

My wife and I just dined at the Hearth and Tap for what we hope will be the first of many future visits. For starters, we enjoyed a light and well prepped Burrata salad. . My wife enjoyed a wonderfully prepared pan roasted duck breast for her entree. I must admit, after my standard tasting test I wished I had ordered my wife's dish. For my entree i enjoyed what turned out to be the most outstanding entree of the night. A perfectly char-grilled New York boneless strip steak. The price? $25..00. While Hearth and Tap also offers a prime -aged strip for $52.00, the strip I had was as good and indeed better than many a prime steak for half the price). We are looking forward to the addition of The Hearth and Tap to a favorite restaurant list.

Service is solid, food quality is good. I’ve had better meals here even the same chicken entree. This time everything was good not great, but is was a super busy Friday night. The burrata app was DELISH. The soups was kinda blah, my chicken was delish but was not a crispy or as nicely presented as in previous visits.

Authentic Irish eatery (as in Ireland Irish, not a schlock pub grub place). Food is excellent. Great Filet Mignon Stroganoff, best Angus burgers, too large Chicken Pot Pie. Large selection of draft beers, etc. We are there once each month.

Food is always good and well prepped. Service is good. Only minor complaint was martinis seemed slightly watered down and lacking proper amount of alcohol.
