Firstly we got there at 4.15 having checked it was open online only to be told food wasn't served until 5pm so had 45 minutes to wait. The pub was empty and we didn't mind waiting but perhaps a more prominent mention of when food is served from for those browsing the web as only showed as open. (that we could see) We chose a booth with a tv assuming it may have something on to amuse our 7 year old during the wait but it didn't appear to work. The table was really sticky and in need of a good scrub. So we went to the toilets to wash our hands and use the facilities but both ladies toilets had no toilet paper. This was soon rectified with the staff. The young lady behind the bar was fantastic...
This restaurant has been a dive for years, but the latest staff running the pub are a joke. The food is terrible, the staff is rude, and I had to wait 5 minutes at the bar before anyone even noticed me. The bartender was just playing on her phone. The landlady is supposedly well-known in the area, but I have lived in Worcester my whole life and have been to some rough places, and this place takes the cake. Marston's, your name is still on the door and it's giving your company a bad reputation. I definitely won't be returning.
Three of us regulars have been frequenting this pub for about four years. The web site and menu state that food is served until 9pm. Today we decided that due to the current situation and the shortage of customers, we would support our local pub, and dine there instead of at home. We arrived at 8.45 only to be told that they had finished serving. The other issue is that there is not anyone around in the lounge area to serve.
This pub has really gone downhill. The food is nothing to write home about. My main issue is that the staff were wearing masks, but the management weren't. They were serving food and drinks without masks on. This is a serious health concern and the pub should be shut down. It seems like it may happen soon anyway, as there were hardly any customers inside. It's a shame to see how much this place has changed.

We had the lunch club option , the fish chips was ok , but the Hunters Chicken was dry over-cooked , difficult to cut up , it was like eating what was cooked yesterday warned up to-day , not hot as one would expect ! The waitress when told did or said nothing about it ! The dessert was reasonable . A shame as otherwise excellent value for price !
I recently visited this restaurant and noticed that with the new management, there has been a significant improvement in the food quality. The overall atmosphere has also been enhanced by some subtle changes. I will definitely be returning for my weekly visits in the future.
Have used weekly for at least the last year and have been getting good pub grug and drink in a friendly local but recently kitchen seems to be closed on a whim. Dont bother ringing first to check as it may still close. Happened to me twice!!
Popped in for a beer after just changing hands and was very impressed with how the new landlady and team are doing. The place looks so much cleaner and the beer tastes great. Will definitely be popping back again.

The staff are lovely here and very welcoming, and the management handle everything so well! Will be visiting again, drinks are also well priced if you just want to pop in to a lovely local pub.
Just called in on off chance for lunch with the family, under new management today! Food was excellent good value for money! Friendly staff will be coming again
