Amazing friendly staff helped make our Sunday lunch special. Alex at the bar and later coming around to see if we enjoyed our meal was so friendly and informative. Our Waitress was Faye and she too was so helpful and smiley. There was also a young 16 year old girl who served us and I thought she was doing an amazing jobOur group of four could not speak more highly of the staff; a refreshing change to the many establishments I have visited recently. I also intend to come and watch the Liverpool games here as the facilities for viewing are excellent.
We had our evening meal at the public house because we only fancied a bar meal. Awful experience! 5 big T.V's all with football blaring out and not even English teams. The pub had 5 couples eating and no one was watching it. The food was average and we didn't hang around for a nightcap because we couldn't wait to get out of there. We could have put up with the football had the sound been turned off but it ruined our evening and wouldn't recommend it for that reason.
I arrived early for my hotel check-in, so I decided to have a few drinks at this restaurant. The outdoor area had tables and chairs, and by early to mid-afternoon, the sun was shining on them. The interior was spacious and pleasant. My only complaint was that the selection of bitter beers was limited, with only Boddingtons and a foreign brand available.
After enjoying a wonderful roast dinner at Verve, we stayed for the quiz and had a great time. The quiz was fantastic, the beers were excellent, and we received great service from the friendly staff. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

The tuna melt toasted sandwich was generously filled with plenty of fish and salad. The chips were also very good. There can be a slight wait during busy times, but the service is typically good.
Stayed at the hotel next door, listen, there's no need to have extortionate prices unless you offer something truly amazing. Unfortunately this is just a hideously over priced pub.
We've eaten at Village Hotel Pubs before, and the food is fine. However, we had a bottle of prosecco and they did not have any correct glasses, which was disappointing.
Stayed in the hotel just wanted a snack so used this pub attached. Waited 30 mins although it was quiet, Burnt toasted sandwich oven chips £9. Not for me thanks.
