We had an excellent lunch here on Saturday. We are keen to search out pubs that offer good food and beer and that 's exactly what was provided at the Poulteney Arms. It was served with care and friendliness, The interior layout and decoration felt unchanged from previous generations of city pubs, so that sense of being in a 'timewarp ' was a treat too.
After a stroll round Henrietta Gardens we stopped for lunch at The Pulteney, very welcoming with lovely food, good portions at reasonable prices, dog friendly. Thoroughly recommend.
Enjoyed roast beef one Sunday with a pint of Timothy Taylor's bitter. Pleasant ambiance, plenty of happy conversations.

"We stopped going here for coffee some years ago, tried it again this week only to find the staff showing the same indifference to customers, plenty of other places in Bath where customers are appreciated."
