We had such a great time at this restaurant. Upon arrival, we were greeted with delicious homemade crisps. After enjoying a pre-lunch drink, we were seated. For starters, we couldn't decide between the scallops or prawns, but the staff graciously allowed us to have both and they were absolutely delicious. The mains of beef wellington, halibut, and lamb were all excellent. When it came to choosing desserts, there were so many options that we couldn't decide once again, so we were encouraged to try a bit of each. The service was fantastic, never rushed and always accommodating. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Overall our experience was fine, not quite up to the hype the food was nice enough and the staff were very attentive for a busy service. Felt exceptionally sorry for a young family behind us who were subjected to some awful behaviour from the owner. we were in shock at the way he spoke to them and couldn’t believe they stayed for their food hopefully they got a nice discount! Will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone else in case they are subjected to the same treatment and we will not be going back either.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The menu had a fantastic selection and the service was excellent. I highly recommend trying the hand made crisps and local produce. The cheese I tried at the end of my meal was the best I've ever had. The dessert trolley offered a variety of delicious hand made options. I thoroughly enjoyed the rack of lamb I ordered and the prawn starter was high quality. The portion sizes were generous, so come hungry!
Another fabulous Saturday night spent at our favourite restaurant with my husband two of my friends. The food as always was amazing . The hospitality of David staff so welcoming attentive. My friends were very impressed by the delicious home cooked, locally sourced food Lillys’ enthusiasm describing the mouthwatering dessert trolley cheeses, delicious . Thank you so much David for making last night extra special your kindness you gifted me.
