The food was delightful and served at the perfect temperatures. A chilled fork was provided for the salad course, and the dressing was spot on. The potato soup was piping hot and served under a lid. The only complaint we had was that two scones were not enough, but with three more courses ahead, we ended up feeling quite full by the end of the meal. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious, and the desserts complemented each other beautifully—lemon pudding paired with a piece of rum cake.

The tables were adorned with stunning tablecloths, and the China teacups added to the picturesque setting, complemented by a warm fireplace. It really felt like being in a welcoming home rather than a commercial establishment. I was particularly impressed with the decor; it was refreshing compared to other places I’ve been that felt cluttered and uncomfortable. I made tea in other places and they were very good; meanwhile this location, atmosphere, tea options, food, Matthew, Brandon as all these variables have sold me to this place... My mother surprised us yesterday with a tea party and I'm still from such a great time... We'll be back. Thanks for a great outing

The Purple Door Tea Room is a hidden gem in the Metro Detroit area. My experience with the tea and food was delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the tea room and look forward to returning. I highly recommend it!
Absolutely wonderful tea room! Well worth the 3 hour drive. We had a birthday tea for our lovely granddaughter Serenity! Excellent tea. Amazing decor! Luscious food! We'll be back!!!!
