The Rat Trap - Reserva de mesa

We visited this restaurant for a pre-ordered Christmas meal for six. Upon arrival, we were informed that we were early and that we had actually booked for 7:30 PM. However, I showed the staff my confirmation on my phone, which clearly stated 6:00 PM. They mentioned that there would be a wait for our starters. Later, we were told that two of the starters we had ordered were out of stock, even though we had placed our order two weeks in advance. On a positive note, the food was delicious, and the service was satisfactory. The only other issue we encountered was that the Christmas burger was served between two very thick slices of toast, which was quite unusual.

Food wasn't very good and took a long time to come out as the chef was messing around and very loud in my opinion), I was ill after eating the Lasagne, I did email but no one got back to me, they had workmen in and the noise was so bad, don't think having them drill, and use there power tools in the middle of your lunch service is good for business, I've been going to this place for years and never had a bad experience until now, Price per person: £30–40

Service was great as usual but I was surprised to see that the main meal lasagne was the same size as the light bite one. I’ve never seen such a small portion of lasagne. The only difference was a slice of toast, which was presumably the garlic bread but didn’t taste of garlic. I would have rather gone without than pay an extra £3. Very disappointing. Food: 1

Had dinner in the Rat trap today with my mum for her birthday. The food was fantastic and the service from all staff was amazing, all very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Delicious food and excellent staff! I had a burger that was very tasty. Everything felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend visiting—great prices, great food, and friendly service. I enjoyed my time there with a friend and my partner.

Wow! I had not been here before, but my friend insisted we give it a try, and it was such a lovely surprise! The staff were amazing, and the food was excellent. I would give it 10 stars!
