The Red Lion - Reserva de mesa

The seats in the bar area need to be cleaned. The restaurant was empty apart from two tables with children on them and we were seated in between. One of the children was young and whinged all through the meal! (Not his fault, as he was probably tired and needing his bed). It might be a good idea not to place a couple wanting a nice meal and a chat next to families, when there are plenty of other available tables. The mushroom soup was delicious, but my sausages had been microwaved and were too well done. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

I brought my mother here for Sunday lunch to celebrate her birthday. The staff were pleasant but they were trying to cover too many tables and it was difficult to get attention. Usually the Sunday roast arrives promptly in pubs as they are prepared but we waited about minutes. The food was fine but very carb heavy with a vast portion of roast potatoes and a Yorkshire but then a few veg hiding under the meat. The conclusion- it was ok.

Great dinner and service was very good. We had been given a gift certificate for a wedding present and it was a great spot to celebrate. They have a brand new seasonal menu which has some great stuff on it.

disappointed with our table next to a split and eating. with the communication with our waitress and the waiter was a bit flippant when we asked about the use of our discount card. Reserva una mesa ahora

the food was excellent. you have to try the hot chocolate reddish bomb! the drinks needed one because to get out what was the only real disappointment we were thirsty!

We have eaten here before but had forgotten how slow the service was and how unbelievably expensive the wine is . I have remembered now so won't be going again

Although I was able to book over opentable when I arrived, I found that the red lions did not serve food because he was wasting his kitchen floor again.

Really great place. Fab food- great choice on the menu. Friendly staff. So pleased we decided to book, will be back again.
