After taking a walk along the coast and returning, we were quite hungry. Unfortunately, most places had already closed for the day, and we were disappointed to find out that the local fish and chip shop in Lizard doesn't offer Gluten Free options. However, we were relieved to stumble upon this restaurant. The staff was accommodating and showed us the menu with gluten-free options. They promptly served us drinks and the food arrived not long after. The meal was delicious and satisfying!
On a pleasant, sunny evening we decided to visit the Regent Cafe. On entering the cafe, the staff were fairly uninviting, although not unpleasant. The food was fairly expensive, and the bottle of wine very expensive. We sat outside to enjoy the sun and when the food arrived, it was pretty good. The cafe has been updated recently, after a change in ownership, but it looked pretty austere and cold, particularly from the outside.
During our visit to Lizard, we were searching for a place to have lunch before heading down to the point. After wandering around and not finding a suitable spot, we came across The Regent and decided to give it a try. The service was quick and friendly, the food was delicious, and there was a diverse menu to choose from. We will definitely be dining there again in the future.
What first caught my attention was the availability of affordable, smaller servings of fish and chips for those not looking for a large portion. What really stood out to me was the high quality of the fries and the unexpectedly generous portion of fish. A day off together always starts well with a good breakfast and happily we chose this lovely place. Its a great airy space, well set out with good Comfy seating. Food menu and specials boards are mouth watering we opted for the small breakfast which was tasty and just right. Friendly staff with great service!
Visited the regent yesterday for coffee and lunch. Staff friendly and helpful, good service and food. Different story tonight. Supposedly a DJ playing at 9, well that was a joke.! Ordered 2 drink a pint and a spring fling. The spring fling was a Prosecco...
While we were at the Lizard we had three takeaways from the Regent cafe and all three meals were really good value for the money and the food was excellent and good sized portions would highly recommend them.
A great find in Lizard village, there is ample parking nearby and the cafe is a very good size with plenty of seating. The menu has a good variety and the food is not to expensive and good quality Reserva una mesa ahora
Lovely café with a beautiful breakfast, probably one of the nicest we’ve ever had! Served quickly and all staff were extremely friendly! Perfect stop for anyone who’s visiting Lizard Point!
