Really nice chips but the scouse man (possibly the owner) is so miserable and unfriendly. Heard him bad mouth his customers on more than one occasion. Makes you reluctant to go in. Portion sizes vary depending who serves you but usually decent size. Every time I've been there's been a different woman serving whilst the miserable man ignores you until he begrudingly asks if anyone is having fish. Neutral review as I do think the food is good just a shame about the owner bloke.

Visited on a recommendation after a trip to Earlestown Market. Can honestly say, the best fish and chips outside of Whitby and Scarborough. The chips and fish were cooked from fresh, absolutely delicious, superb quality. The owners were really nice. After devouring the fish and chips, I had to go back into the shop to tell the owners how much we enjoyed it. I would highly recommend trying if you're in the area.

We used to use this chippy every time we went to Haydock Races but will not be going again since our last visit. The food quality has deteriorated somewhat and I can only agree with a previous reviewer regarding the new owner. One unpleasant,miserable, ignorant man. I would suggest culinary tuition and an urgent visit to charm school

Went in on fireworks night, and my partner said he watched as the man behind the counter wiped his nose on a cloth, and then used that cloth to wipe down the whole work-surface. In corona times. Portion sizes were also small for the price, they only took cash, and they shut at 8pm. Reserva una mesa ahora

Doing the Pitta Gyros as a special is a great idea but it needs to be a bigger portion and include chips since that’s what comes in a proper Gyros (otherwise it’s just a chicken kebab). Friendly staff as always and will give it another go for sure.

Having lived in the south for many years and here for a family visit, we were recommended this venue for classic northern fish and chips. Not disappointed. Beautifully fried large fish with a plentiful helping of chips. Nice people. No brainer.

So disappointed that this once excellent chippy has lost it for me. Don’t know what oil they are now using but it just overwhelms the food, chips really pale too. Given it two or three tries recently but won’t be returning unfortunately.

Went for a Gyros, as i recently experienced an excellent one in Mcr. Very disappointed.... No chips in it (Meaning it was just a chicken kebab) and a portion size for a dwarf on a diet. Ended up filling up on a few slices of toast..... Reserva una mesa ahora

Excellent service thank you we ordered food for Good Friday once again they did not disappoint the food was delicious and the Portion sizes were fab it was quite a big order so they made it before they opened 10/10

fish is nice when you dont get wire in it that cuts your mouth when complane you get no response also can not cook chips will not go to it agane
