The Rights Of Man Pub Lewes Sussex.

I visited Lewes over the weekend and had my first lunch at this quaint pub. The cozy downstairs areas were all full, but luckily we were able to get a table in the upstairs dining room. We opted for a light lunch - I had a delicious toasted cheese chutney ciabatta, while my partner enjoyed the steak sandwich. Both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The family at the table next to us all ordered burgers, which made me instantly envious - they were loaded with a whole gherkin and onion rings on top. We attempted to have Sunday lunch at the pub, but it was fully booked, so the waitress suggested we try the Swan Inn instead. Check out my other review for more details.

We ordered the Duck and the Lamb off the main menu. Both meals were beautifully presented, cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely delicious. Hats off to the kitchen team! Food was average. Not a great burger and chips, particularly for the price. My partner found the fish ok. Service was reasonable but not great. On the good side, the pub is dog friendly and has a nice bar. Beer is good if you want cask ale or lager, but not much other choice. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
