Just back from lunch and wow, service was excellent prompt and friendly. Food was, pub grub , standards and choice were definitely above average. The quality is outstanding. I had the steak and Stilton pie and it was spot on. Steak was tender and the Stilton had a real punch to it. Wife and daughter who were with me were equally impressed. Certainly visiting again. Visited again today and still lives up to our expectations. Wife had Beef Lasagne and it was very tasty. The staff as usual are always welcoming and efficient. Service: 5 Location: 5

A very good wholesome Sunday lunch. We were a family group of 12 and they managed to get all the food out together. Service could be better. We waited 20 minutes for drinks to arrive on the table and I had to go back and ask again where they were. Overall ,good food and good value. Enjoyed the meal service very slow but it was a Sunday lunch time but would definitely go again place all trimmed up for Christmas. Service: 4
