My first Afternoon tea experience in the UK- and THE BEST if I may say. I was in Bath for two days, and by day two I was a bit overwhelmed by the busy tourist area so I found this place to enjoy a proper British Afternoon Tea to myself. This hotel is located within walking distance from the main attractions such as the Abbey, yet it is away from the hustle and bustle. The environment was great- I sit indoors by the window and have a view of the garden on a sunny day, the background music was classy, food was absolutely a delight- especially the scones and the sandwiches. This is our 3rd visit for Afternoon Tea, it’s always been an extra special experience. The food was varied and fresh, service was ok. We always go during the summer so that we can sit outside, we noticed the tables hadn’t been set up and my partner was seated inside, we asked to go outside and we were told to pick a table and the crockery would be brought out. The table wasn’t wiped and cushions wet where they’d been left out. Nobody checked on us once food was delivered to see if we needed drinks etc. Sadly experience not so great this time!
A lovely building overlooking the gardens. The service was excellent friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Delicious food with a range of interesting savoury fillings in the sandwiches and absolutely beautiful cakes. These were mini works of art in both appearance and taste. The 'apple ' was a standout with its gorgeous flavours and combination of textures. I 'm sure we 'll return.
We loved our afternoon tea, the staff were very friendly attentive. The sandwiches cakes were delicious, there was a large selection of tea. My only slight criticism was that it'd be nice to know some of the back story behind the teas, we've had an afternoon tea before the lady told us a lot about the tea.

We had an enjoyable Afternoon Tea at Roseate Villa. The food was delicious, the choice of tea extensive and the location very accommodating. We will be back.
The food was really nice flavours and the cakes were amazing. Staff were friendly and looked after us with plenty of refills on tea to go with the food.
The afternoon tea was excellent and offered a wide variety of choices. The service was exactly what we hoped for.
