The Rousdon Village Bakery

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a leisurely breakfast. It has a unique and unconventional ordering system where customers have to do some of the work themselves and may experience a brief wait during busy periods. However, the wait is definitely worth it. The bacon here is some of the best I've had outside of the USA, with generous portions (8 slices in a bacon sandwich). My group loved this place so much that we visited three times in the week we were in Lyme Regis for breakfast. We also tried a similar restaurant nearby, but found ourselves coming back to this one for its delicious offerings.

Oh my word... what an amazing place!! We popped in today as Lyme was horribly busy for the annual swim and we've definitely found a new favourite place. This is a fantastic hidden gem! Every time we stay at the campground next door, we make sure to have breakfast here and we are never disappointed. The portions are large and delicious, so make sure you come hungry. Clive cooks everything fresh to order and it's fascinating to watch him prepare breakfast right in front of you.

Love the rustic slow cooked ribs! Fabulously succulent. Love the innovative dining with the a definite passion for local produce. The Rousdon slogan “eat less ordinary” is exactly what you get. Bravo for daring to be different.
