The Royal - Reservar una mesa

I haven't visited tankerton for more than 25 years, but my partner and I were randomly in the opposite and immersed at lunch on the New Year's Day without reservation and, although all the tables were reserved, the staff kindly found us a table that was available for an hour and allowed us to dinate. I'm so glad they made it! we shared a couple of baby squids to then on muscles (the one sauce to die and share a lot for 2) plus cod and chips and a drink everyone, all for less than £40. we felt no pressure to go and we had a look at the sea to boot! I can't blame it.

A huge disappointmen. One can excuse the lack of customer generated atmosphere in the winter but this place had nothing to want me to come back. You cannot run a tab or leave your card behind the bar so it was pay as you go. Lunch was cold, bland and not worth half of what it cost. A typical case of let 's open the doors and see who wants to come in . It won 't be me which is a pity because when I last visited 10 years or so ago it was warm and vibrant.

really great place in a beautiful location. eating is delicious, and good value for money. I had a whistle with the best I had for a long time. for dessert I had cream broth, which was beautiful and a very generous portion. good that we came back the next day. the staff is very friendly and helpful.

friendly staff, prompt service, nice selection of beer on tap, master brew was very good. great menu, fish chips, calamari, burgers were very good. sardines were fab. dog-friendly pub, with water bowls in bar and outside. free parking on the promenade in front of the pub. will surely return.

really funny and friendly pub directly at the sea. good choice of beer and decent food to go with. great location too, as it looks at the ufer. prices are average. also a lot of locally seen would recommend as a stop for everyone.
