I don't normally feel moved to post reviews but, after we randomly picked the Oak for something to eat on a Saturday lunchtime, I thought they should get some coverage. The food was over and above what you would expect to find in a pub on the high street. Our meals were all of restaurant quality. The building itself is a traditional English pub although not your standard mock Tudor place; this being Evesham, it was authentically of the period. The interior, however, had a more contemporary feel but with traditional touches like a real open fire. We were out of its range but the flames could've benefited from a fire guard when the wood started spitting! We lived to tell the tale though... Fin...
We stayed at the hotel for one night and unfortunately the experience did not live up to expectations. Firstly, the kitchen was closed so there was no food available and for a Saturday night there were only a couple of people at the bar or outside, so absolutely no atmostphere. Luckily, there are plenty of other places to eat and drink in Evesham. Our room was not too bad, but certainly not luxurious as advertised on their website. The TV was absolutely tiny and it was difficult to see the screen was so small. The fan in the bathroom was blowing debris into the bathroom, rather than extracting. It's such a shame, as under good management the place could be so much better. Overall, very disap...
Very disappointing, We had to wait 50 minutes for a sandwich and fish and chips and the pub was half empty. Definitely understaffed the lady taking orders had a very little understanding of the menu and was not really able to manage the pub. She was also working alone so she was overwhelmed as well. We waited so long that one of the worker from the kitchen after watching us sitting at our table hopeless he took again the our order and finally we had some food. Food was average, nothing special. We paid and left having wasted enough time
Went when we heard about new menu. Went at lunchtime. Enjoyed 2 lots of 3 tapas for £12 for 3 of us. Good value, good portion size, delicious. Nice eating area at rear. Only reason not 5 stars is poor table service. Had to ask if we needed to order at bar or at table. Told table service but no one came even though we were seen by several staff. In the end had to catch someone's attention. Food did come in a reasonable time and staff did check all was OK. Would go again and try evening menu.

Saturday evening visit, ate in the restaurant. Friendly staff and excellent service. Good value food and it was served quickly and piping hot. I had the pie which was lovely.... The mash, veg and gravy were a bit average, I'd make better at home. But overall, a good experience.... More pub grub than restaurant quality.
This restaurant is the perfect spot for a relaxing drink or whatever you're in the mood for! The bartender was friendly and very knowledgeable. Although there was a slight issue with the Guinness, it was quickly resolved with a premium lager. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and is in a great location!
The restaurant is in a good location, but I was extremely disappointed with the welcome, atmosphere, service, and food during Sunday lunch. The establishment is under new management, who, frankly, seem to be inexperienced and lack knowledge on how to properly operate a restaurant.
I visited this restaurant while staying in the area for the weekend. The food was excellent quality and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere of the pub was inviting and cozy.

Visited with family and was happy to find this dog friendly pub in the heart of Evesham. A reasonable Sunday roast in pleasant surroundings
