The Royal Oak - Reserva de mesa

To be fair, I ordered from the set veggie menu for one, so it has to be catered to as broad a pallette as possible. However I was not expecting it to lack spice entirely. I thought there might be at least some seasoning. The potatoes were perfect but there were a lot of cauliflower stalks and everything was very oily not from ghee but just regular, bland vegetable oil. I have not lived in Manchester long but this is surely not the type of curry the city is famous for?

The dining experience was a mix of highs and lows. The most expensive curry I ordered was missing and instead I received a bland vegetable curry. The chicken bhuna I ordered turned out to be a plain curry with no flavor or spice. Additionally, we received an omelette and rice that we did not order. The yogurt tasted old and the chips were undercooked and soggy. Overall, the meal was disappointing and lacked the desired flavors and quality.

As always, we were greeted warmly upon arrival. The service was excellent - not too fast, not too slow. When I requested something not on the menu, the manager was accommodating and the meal he brought was absolutely fantastic. Both my wife and I always thoroughly enjoy our experience at this restaurant.

Not received half of order. Spoke to manager who said he’d send it out. Waited and waited. Still nothing. Ring manager on number he called me from and he said he’d gone home. Over 3 hours and no meal. Absolute joke. Reserva una mesa ahora

We were greeted by very friendly and polite staff who took our coats and showed us to our table. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. Very tasty and extremely filling. Highly recommended.

Usually amazing service, quick delivery and food always top notch. Everything was cold and soggy and clearly been sat around for ages before it arrived. Unlikely to order again after this now.
