The Royal Pub - Reserva de mesa

I had my first visit to The Royal last night for cocktails and tapas with my work friends, and it certainly won’t be my last! The staff were friendly and surprisingly quick, even though the pub was extremely busy. The food and drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced. We had the perfect table—it was a bit quiet (which was nice) and offered us some privacy to enjoy each other’s company. I definitely recommend this place and plan to come back with my family!

My lucky other half and I attended yesterday for the first time. The food was gorgeous, especially recommended are the mussels in spicy tomato sauce. We had one minor blip, our last cocktails of the evening were delivered 20 minutes late. However, the service was impeccable and that is what counts the drinks were knocked off our bill. We all get things wrong it is how you deal with it that counts. First class service and highly recommended.

Brilliant!!! We arrived were shown to our table, by friendly staff with menus. We’d asked to bring our dog with us we were provided with a lovely table in the bar area for 8 people. The food, service the over appearance of the place was wonderful. We’ll definitely be going back, maybe after 5pm to try the Tapas. Thank you for having us see you again soon!

We visited The Royal for my nephew's birthday as a party of 10, it was my first visit but the rest of my family are regulars and it's easy to see why... delicious food recommend the calamari, cheese croquettes and gambas pil pil, great selection of drinks (a gin lover's paradise! and friendly attentive staff. I discovered this hidden gem of a pub, featuring amazing tapas and a great selection of gins. If you're in Barnsley, you must visit this place; you won't be disappointed! The food and tapas are delightful, and the atmosphere is inviting. The beer garden is lovely, and there’s a wide selection of cocktails to choose from. The service is excellent, and the staff is friendly. It’s definitely worth a visit!
