We recently dined at this restaurant and also had a chance to see the rooms. I must say, the new owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The interior of the restaurant is fantastic, I would give it a 10 out of 10. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for our meals. The staff were all very friendly, and the location is beautiful with plenty of parking available. The prices were reasonable for the top quality of food and service we received. We will definitely be coming back. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, I would rate them a 10 out of 10. I recently dined at The Sally and was disappointed with the changes in their menu. It's no longer the traditional food we have always enjoyed. For starters, I had the stuffed mushrooms but wished I had ordered the pate instead. The cheese in the mushrooms was overpowering and there was too much pesto. The steak I had for main course was priced at £26, but I would have preferred a less fatty and gristly cut of meat. The onion rings were also very heavy and over-fried, making it difficult to eat more than one. Overall, I did not enjoy the meal and left feeling very disappointed.

We had a lovely overnight stay. Rooms are modern and comfortable. It was a bonus having fresh milk rather than those uht capsules you usually get in hotel rooms! Really enjoyed our evening meal and there was a good variety of choice at breakfast too. Of course what made our stay so good were the staff really welcoming and good at their job! Well done to the new owner Insanely good! Food was delicious (I had fish and chips fish was massive. My partner had chicken parm and was amazing , atmosphere was lovely. I’ve never experienced so much food envy as I looked across our table!! I wanted to try every dish that arrived. Excellent food, great selection of dishes all cooked very well. I had lunch at this restaurant and the food was excellent. However, I did have to remind the staff that I had ordered the surf and turf, not just the steak. The service was very quick. I cannot comment on the ambiance of the restaurant, hence the rating.
