While looking over the menu board, we were struck by the wide range of flavors offered, the various ice cream floats, and the intriguing option to pair ice cream with alcohol! There really is something to satisfy every palate. I chose the Colada Float, while my husband decided on the Cherry version. Both were delightful and paired beautifully with the chosen soda. Moreover, we had a fantastic time chatting with Lynn! She was such a pleasure to converse with and truly enhanced our day at Madeira Beach. We highly recommend visiting The Sand Bar to everyone!

May 30 - Stopped by this ice cream shop today. When I walked up to order, the older lady in front of me started chatting with the older lady behind her. I turned around at least twice but received no acknowledgment or service. Poor customer service—definitely won’t be coming back. Here’s what I told the owner: If you can’t handle criticism and improve, it’s tough to succeed in this business. Good customer service is essential because customers are what keep you going. Just something to think about. Owner’s response: "What a great pic! Thank you!

Wow! The homemade ice cream at this place comes in amazing flavors, some specifically for adults. It's creamy, gluten-free, and made fresh, with seating available so you can sit back and enjoy your treat. If you're in John's Pass, it's conveniently located on the main road, just around the corner from the promenade next to the spice and tea shop. I sampled the "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" flavor as well as the "Real Rum Raisin," and I can't wait to return for more! Just stop by the window and ring the cowbell for service!

We’ve visited this place many times, and the ice cream is consistently amazing! I really enjoy their sorbet floats, especially when paired with alcoholic drinks—they're such a fun treat! We've heard that some things have changed due to supply issues, but that won't stop us from coming back. I used to appreciate getting a free koozie with my purchase, which made the prices feel more reasonable, but I'd much rather support a local shop with a wonderful and cheerful owner than those big chains taking over. During our most recent visit, we opted for something different: the Creamy Colada Float, which includes coconut ice cream and a special cream soda, and the Cherry Bomb, created with black cherry ice cream and Cherry Coke. Both were simply fantastic! Lynne, the owner, has made some genuinely delicious treats that are both unique and original. We are eagerly anticipating our next visit to try the adult Champagne Float with her homemade peach Italian ice; it sounds incredibly refreshing, doesn't it?

If you're looking for a refreshing break while visiting John's Pass, be sure to check out the Sandbar, where you'll find delicious ice cream and a variety of sweet treats. There's something for everyone! The owner makes many of the Italian ices and ice cream on-site, which adds a special touch. One of my personal favorites is the peach Italian ice champagne float. And if you're interested, there are also adult-only treats available, making it a fun and unique experience!

The owner and her friend are incredibly friendly and attentive! The cotton candy ice cream was a favorite among our children, and my husband and I loved the Guinness Float and the boozy ice cream. The PB Whisky flavor was AMAZING, and the sweet corn and peppermint ice was the most beautiful and creamiest ice cream we’ve ever had! This place is a must-visit when you're in John's Pass!

Ice on the Beach is a fantastic spot to enjoy an ice cream cone or cup. We tried the mint chocolate chip, coffee, and birthday cake flavors, and all of them were delicious. The beer floats and alcoholic ice creams were amazing! The kids really enjoyed theirs too, haha. The prices and portion sizes were outstanding, particularly for a beachside spot. Highly recommended!
