The Sauer Kraut - Reserva de mesa

I drove all the way from Cypress to try the schnitzel and was really hoping it wouldn't be a waste of time. I was pleasantly surprised! It was, hands down, the best schnitzel I've had in the Houston area. Despite the counter service, the sweet girl at the register brought our food to the table and frequently checked in to see if we needed anything. The schnitzel was fantastic, and the red cabbage was absolutely delicious. The only downside was that it seemed like they might be switching to serving only burgers?? I really hope that's not the case, as I'd happily make the hour-long drive a few times a month just for that German plate. It was soooo good!

The food was amazing—definitely some of the best German cuisine I've enjoyed in quite some time! However, when I think of German food, I naturally think of German beer. Although they have a decent selection of good bottled beers, I was hoping for a refreshing tall glass of draft beer instead. Unfortunately, I was only presented with bottled options. Overall, I had a dine-in dinner experience.

The food was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly! The atmosphere was lively and perfectly complemented the meal. We tried two different burgers, and the fries were outstanding! We also ordered the sausage platter, which was excellent, and the sauerkraut was, of course, delicious! I wish we had taken pictures, but the food disappeared as soon as it was served!

My partner often visits this place for lunch, but it was my first time at the actual restaurant. We decided to share a burger, and it was absolutely fantastic! Hubs comes here periodically for lunch but it was my first time at the brick and mortar. We shared the burger, so freaking good! We had the special fries. It's unfortunate that they will be closing at the end of the year. It's truly a shame because the food is excellent, but the location isn’t ideal. There aren't many expats in Richmond/Rosenberg. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
