"Had reservations at 6:30 on Saturday and were immediately seated. The food was spectacular. Got a beer on tap and a few mixed drinks. All were well made/poured. Only qualm, was that our server forgot a drink and we didn’t see her for over 15 mins. She said she’d get it and then take it off the tab. But she didn’t. I paid it anyway, cause I’m not going to fuss over one drink. Other than that, decent experience."

Wow this place was great! From the ambience to the presentation and the taste! The brown sugar old fashion was absolutely in the top 3 old fashions I've had dining out! The presentation of the pork chop was fantastic using color and height, not to mention how tender, well cooked and delicious it was! The sides were sweet potatoes and asparagus with micro greens and a wonderful demi glaze! The Mrs had the scallops with a Mushroom risotto and a side of Brussel Sprouts. She choose the Anchorade to wash it down which basically was a four roses bourbon with lemonade, she loved it! To top it off, since we were celebrating my Birthday we enjoyed the complimentary Chocolate peanut butter silk pie wh...

This was our first visit to this The Village Anchor, and I will say it's a little gem in the Anchorage area of Louisville. The atmosphere was warm and cozy (they have a large fireplace in the main area which was blazing on this chilly day but also outdoor dining for better weather), and the bar area was very nice and well stocked. Our server was efficient and friendly. But the main thing was the food which was outstanding! Our brunch menu was varied, and based on our choices, I would recommend the Brussel sprout salad and their banana pudding dessert. By the way, there is a scenic park close to the cafe where you might want to walk off some calories after eating at this local restaurant!

Most already know of the awesome that is The Village Anchor. It is a gem among gems in the quaint town of Anchorage. They have an amazing bar with outstanding cocktails handmade and mixed right before you. The bourbon selection is well curated and has a wide range of options from a good house all the way to high end specialty selections. The food is top notch. Never had a bad meal or dish. This is a great place for drinks at the bar or a fantastic dinner in the dining room with friends new or old.

This was our first time here and I must say it won't be our last. We made reservations for our anniversary dinner and it was more than we expected. To be honest I'm a bit ashamed, because between the friendly hosts, waiters and the chef. I can't remember everyone's names. This place is very cozy and warm especially if you're able to get a seat by the fireplace. Thank you Village Anchor for making sure our night was memorable and special.
