beautiful restaurant with large service. super friendly and attentive staff that goes beyond expectations by trying a sample of the curry. the food was very good. large portions, well mixed with tender lamb/chicken, fresh nan, mushroom plum and crispy poppadomen. wowbel bhaji was flat expected a round but no big problem. the menu had enough dishes to choose with traditional favorites beside some new, including the mushroom marsala curry. good atmosphere inside and I discovered a lot of regular customers who knew the personal well. only negative thing is the price with average main dish cost around £13. that is 20% higher than I would normally pay so that the total cost for two main course, a...

on the way back from matlock we called into this restaurant. what a great restaurant. from the input we were greeted by the manager who took care of us and even asked my wife how hot she wanted the curry. After she told him 10 minutes later, he came back with a rehearsal of her curry. that never happened. I noticed that the shalimar is rated in the top ten Indian restaurants in Great Britain on trip advisor. we will visit again. amazing place

such a welcoming and cozy restaurant. from the moment we came to the restaurant, our host took care of us. Without hitting an eyelider, he even helped to create a tailor-made dish for my wife who had a hankering for something very special. that was wonderful, and there was a lot of it. we are really great for the experience and loved every minute of our visit.

excellent customer service and delicious food. meat was tender and tasteful, salat was fresh and desi chai was on the ground, they made sure we all looked around and that eating was our joy. practical parking in front of location. I would recommend the shalimar at any time.

The menu had lots of choice and the food was excellent. The staff were so friendly, they even went out of their way to give us a lift back to our hotel when we struggled to get a taxi! Absolutely fantastic place, would definitely recommend!
