Went here for a birthday meal on a Saturday night. Table had been booked three months in advanced yet we arrived for our booking to be told the table wasn’t ready and the had to wait 45minutes before we were seated, at a table that had obviously been squeezed in (all I can assume is they had used my table for other people The staff members that were working front of house were lovely and obviously very busy. We were only asked once through the whole meal if we wanted to order more drinks so the business lost out there as we would normally of had many more than we did. I visited this gastro pub for the first time on 7/23 with a friend who was visiting. The menu had a good mix of pub classics and more high-end specials. We both tried the sirloin steaks from the specials menu and found them to be of high quality and cooked perfectly. They came with mushrooms, tomatoes, and a choice of four sauces. The extra sides we ordered, triple-cooked chips for me and a Greek salad for my friend, were also delicious. We also enjoyed a good pint of beer. I would recommend this place. The cost per person is between £20-30.

We had lunch today with our daughter . I have to say my Sunday roast was delicious . Pork very tender and the cauliflower cheese actually tasted of cheese ! Vegetables and potatoes perfect. Husbands meal of sausage and mash very tasty including a special request of a Yorkshire pudding ! Daughter is vegetarian, her meal of mushroom tart, cooked Camembert with crispy bread and chunky chips looked mouth watering. We were made to feel very welcome . We will be back again.

Our party was impressed with both the service and the food at this restaurant. There were plenty of vegetarian options available, the staff were very attentive, and they were accommodating of dogs and babies. The price per person ranges from £20 to £30. This is by far the best Sunday lunch we have had in a long time. The food was exquisite, and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. We will definitely be making another reservation soon. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
