we visited this pub in the hope to find some live sports. that shouldn't be. we were served by a beautiful lady who was polite and gave great service. at this time we were 5 out of 8 people in the whole pub. everything. ran well, until a male (which carries a Pac-man t-shirt) in the pub, which I now know, worked there or even the renter was incredibly unpredictable, as our dog who had barked or stumbled, went 2 meters to him (before I kept him in full grip) and he aggressively told us that "if you were on dog! our dog did not go to the pub and had with us for the hour we were there. we went and had no farewell or thank you for having said. this is not a dog friendly or person friendly pub. first line a local single-family football pub is located in the back roads in the east of ryde esplanade. decor is tired, but functional, two real ales on which relatiw were well kept. tischservice due to covid but no easy way to win the...staff when they were chatted with local around the other side of the bar! a reasonable stop for a drink, but perhaps not fair to fully judge the place in these unusual times.

it is worth looking for outside, its right off the coast in ryde, the staff are very welcoming, the drinks prices are very reasonable, they have live entertainment when we visited it was a sunny warm day, so they played on a small stage. in the back garden area, but there is a much bigger stage in the side for bigger groups to play, we saw a male duo that was very entertaining with music to match all ages.

Friendly pub. Good selection of vitals. Petanque, darts other games played here. Needs a fair bit of upgrading in the outside area at the back. Decking rather dangerous!

Dropped in for the monthly music quiz while staying in the area and were warmly welcomed, seemed like a very friendly place and good value too.

Nice little cosy pub, the bartender is from New York. She said her accent was rough, I found it quite attractive lol.
