We were pleasantly surprised to find that the layout has been updated. The doors now separate the dining area from the main pub, making it a much more enjoyable space where we could eat and chat without competing with loud music and boisterous groups. We were attended to by Tracy, who was amazing and incredibly attentive to our needs. Our food arrived at just the right time, allowing us to enjoy our drinks and have a chat before it came out. The menu was impressive, offering a wide variety of choices. We’ve been to other pubs around the same time (8 PM) and found many items missing from the menu, but here, we had plenty to choose from. The quantity and quality of the food were fantastic....
I celebrated my partner's birthday at this restaurant, and it was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. They also offered a great selection of cocktails that my friend enjoyed, but be sure to ask the bar staff for the options available, as they aren’t listed on the menu. I had the steak, and it was divine. They even served non-alcoholic prosecco and gin and tonic, which was a delightful treat since I don’t drink alcohol. I highly recommend this place for non-drinkers as well; it’s a first-class venue with a lovely ambiance that isn’t too loud. Enjoy!
This is a Hungry Horse pub-restaurant. If you're looking for freshly cooked dishes and exotic menus, you might be disappointed. However, if you're in the mood for quality burgers and great value pub food, this place is fantastic. The decor is modern, and the place is always clean. No matter how busy they are, the staff consistently greet you with smiles and friendliness. Some even take the time to chat, making you feel very welcome. I've been a regular for about 10 years now, and I have no plans to stop visiting anytime soon. Keep up the great work, everyone. Looking forward to my next visit!
Despite this, I managed to eat what I could and brought my concerns to a staff member, who was incredibly kind and offered us complimentary drinks as an apology. The staff are clearly very busy but are genuinely pleasant. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return for the food. Furthermore, the strong smell of urine wafting from the restrooms was overwhelmingly unpleasant as we left. While the building itself is lovely and the staff are delightful, I believe the kitchen needs serious improvement. I wouldn't feel comfortable sending out a meal like that; it's really disappointing. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant, and the food was amazing! The personal welcome from the staff was friendly and made my experience even better. I enjoyed a non-alcoholic gin and slim tonic with my steak, which was a great choice. Overall, it was a memorable visit!
