We ordered two 8oz gourmet steak meals - one rare and one medium. Both steaks were tough and chewy, with most of the meat left on the plate. The jacket potatoes were acceptable, but the tomato barely saw the grill and was not cooked. The salad was average, but the salad dressing was not good. There was no olive oil dressing available as an alternative. We usually visit Wetherspoons for food, but we will not be ordering the gourmet steak dinners again. The quality can be inconsistent, especially during Curry nights. It may depend on the chef or the specific Wetherspoons branch.
this place is a good value for money, although prices have risen a bit. eating is super fast. no longer than ten minutes have to wait! very friendly and beautiful staff. they have an outside area for smoker and non-smoking. they have exterior and on the back outside is a covered area when it rains. the best value for coffee and its really good coffee machine. pay £1,20 for a cup and fill their boots with it all day.
Went to JD wetherspoons newtownards today 13/1/23 with my brother two sisters. We had lunch boy was it good. The boys had half chicken with chips the girls had fish chips. The food was plentiful, excellent quality served on a hot plate. We also finished with 2 cups of cappuccino each. Staff were friendly and helpful the bill for all 4 of us was under £40. I popped into the store to browse and ended up buying new shoes, a T-shirt, and a water bottle. The staff was extremely helpful, although there was a slight wait for the shoes probably due to the time of day, as it is usually very quick. The store only has one fitting room since it is not very large. It is conveniently located next to a Costa, which made for a pleasant evening out.

Went to wetherspoons for lunch in Newtownards and it was not good looking at the poster to what was on the plate night day. Was told 4 big slices of Turkey wafer thin and what was that gravy was it bits of apple in it. Ended up on loo so bad.
I ordered a burger and fries, and paid almost £2 extra for a dipping sauce. The bun was stale and the patty was small. I would not purchase it again as it barely satisfied my hunger.
Waiting to long to get served for food,waitress on and could off jumped on to help instead off standing about .All the same nice staff nice place.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere good selection of food and drink at reasonable prices xx
