At the end of our meal, we were asked if everything was satisfactory. To be honest, it was okay. I had a dish without meat and my wife had the roast beef. Unfortunately, the beef was very dry and overcooked, so she couldn't eat it. Despite this, we enjoyed the rest of our meal and were willing to pay for it. However, when our bill was collected, a woman approached us in a rude manner and asked what was wrong with the beef, as if we should never come back to eat there again. I was willing to pay without causing a scene, but then she came back to our table and asked how the beef was, which was incredibly embarrassing. This behavior prompted me to write this review. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful trailer-podding site! We stayed in one of their lovely pods for 2 nights and it was fantastic. The pods were cozy with comfortable mattresses provided, all we had to bring were our own bedsheets. There was also a picnic area outside the pods which was a nice touch. The location itself was stunning, with mesmerizing views of red kites soaring above us during the day. We were there for the Halloween weekend and it was a blast! We were delighted to find out there was a Halloween party at the pub and we joined in the fun. The staff and locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it a great night. The live singer added to the festive atmosphere....
We were early to arrive but no problem, our table was ready with our name set. Greeted made to feel welcome from the very start. Wife ordered the Beef and Steak Ale Pie for me. The wife normally finds something to remark on...but OMG nothing for the duration of the meal. Beef cooked to perfection, great seasonal veg, tasty yorkshire pudding stuffing, delicious gravy. Exceptional roast potatoes mash. My pie was so tasty along with the above comments. For years we have tried Sunday lunch but nothing we've had compared to this. Thank You.
We dined at The Stables on Friday night without a reservation, but they warmly welcomed us and found a table for us even though they were quite busy. Our meals were delicious and we all agreed to return on Saturday night, booking a table before we left. Another fantastic dining experience - why go anywhere else? The food and drinks were great and the location was convenient for us, being in the tourist area. Kudos to the staff and thank you again for a wonderful evening.

We've had lovely meals here before but this time we took my mother for Sunday lunch. To summarise, it was such nice delicious home style cooked food that she let on during the meal at how disappointed she had been at soooooo many previous establishments...that we'd taken her!! It got my mother's seal of approval so I do not need to say anymore here. A glowing 5 stars. Oh and they also spoil your dog rotten as well as your mothers.
we were in one of the pods in maustin park and booked a table to eat here for Saturday night. the eating was amazing and so all the workers were mainly linda. Although it was busy, she found a few moments. to sit with everyone and they feel welcome. we enjoyed our meal on Saturday evening so that we booked for Sunday lunch - it was absolutely beautiful. we will be coming back
This very welcoming and friendly bar is a must visit. My wife and I were staying on the caravan park and decided to go for a meal there was an offer on two steak meals and a bottle of wine. The food was magnificent and...the wine of good quality. We took our dog with us and she was treated like a princess. Can’t wait to return. Thank you and well done guy’s. Rick Tracy
Excellent meals . Pleasant and friendly service as always. Good company and atmosphere . We have a caravan on site and use the restaurant every week. Would recommend it to anyone
