The Stables Of Como

I made a reservation through OpenTable, but they didn’t have it on record. On a sweltering 38-degree day, we had to request cold water, and we asked three times for cutlery after our meal. When it still didn’t arrive, we ended up getting it ourselves. This was quite disappointing, especially considering my previous visits here had been wonderful.

During my second visit to The Stables, I brought along two friends, and it definitely met all our expectations. The service and food were both excellent, making for a delightful experience whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors. It's a charming and welcoming spot that’s perfect for entertaining visitors from abroad.

The staff were friendly and helpful but new and possibly understaffed which made the service a little slow. (It wasn’t a problem given the congenial surroundings. The toilets were wet but I’m not sure who is responsible for them. It was like they’d been mopped but there was no airflow or warmth to dry them.

We arrived at 1 PM and waited until 3 PM without receiving our meal. Our order was "lost in the system." Although it was a busy day, we noticed that other diners who arrived after us were being served before us. The booking system was great. When we arrived we were seated under a music speaker which was too loud. We were able to be relocated. The meal was good but then we had cakes/coffee. The red velvet cake was dry, almost stale. Disappointing. The staff were pleasant.

I enjoyed a spectacular breakfast in a beautiful setting. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the service was friendly. There’s also a wonderfully stocked cake cabinet, perfect for afternoon tea!

we made the high tea and it was nice. the table was set with a white table cloth and teases etc. the food was delicious and the champagne/mimosas finished the day. we had fun.

We had a lovely High Tea experience at the Stables. The staff were very attentive and made the afternoon lovely for our special occasion.

We had the picnic for two. The food was beautiful and plentiful the bottle of French Champagne topped off a lovely afternoon.
