From start to finish the experience was great. The doorman was friendly and greeted us with a short background on the house history. Southern charm and hospitality! Located in a historic town home tucked away on 8th Ave in downtown Nashville. I had the sea bass with mashed potatoes and creamed corn — really good! The deconstructed apple pie for dessert was delicious! My only complaint was the smell of musty cigar smoke when you walked in the front door, I believe there is a cigar lounge on the upper floor. A historical building nestled just off Broadway in Nashville Tennessee. While somewhat dark inside, the atmosphere steals you away from the hustle and bustle outside. Cozy bar area for great drinks, wonderful and personable service, and incredible food. I've never had a bad meal at the Standard. Make a reservation! You won't be disappointed!
I have traveled all over the world and since last week. I must have told 30 people that this is the best meal I have ever had. Not only great food but the history of the place and Mrs Smith is an incredible experience. Worth every penny, don't go anywhere else if looking for a great meal
