The Star Haywards Heath

Absolutely awful. Don't waste your time. Pre-booked a table however the kitchen was closed when we got there, but we were told to go and sit down. In hindsight we should have left then. 3 starters, 2 came out and the other one followed quite a bit later. 1 nicely cooked, 1 overcooked, 1 undercooked. When the first 2 main meals came out the waitress said they'd come out in 2s, we didn't realise this meant they were only cooking 2 meals at a time. By the time the last 2 came out the first 2 people had finished eating. Worse still the food wasn't even good; the scampi was dreadfully overcooked and the fried fish was swimming in oil. The Star is perfect for a night out. I have visited several times and it is quickly becoming my favorite spot in Haywards Heath. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Although the food menu is small, everything I tried was perfect and satisfying. I highly recommend it.

I visited the Star two years ago and was pleased to find that it still maintains its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The new manager is attentive and provides great service. The beer is still of good quality and the food is delicious at a reasonable price. I will definitely be returning.

The service was fantastic, the food was excellent, and even the dogs enjoyed it. Perfect for solo female diners, with great music and a lively atmosphere that's perfect for rugby fans. A fantastic spot for having a good time and sharing some laughs. Reserva una mesa ahora

Great drinks, great atmosphere and the food is great, small menu but that's because the quality and care put into it is amazing. If I could would have there katsu burger 4 days a week but my don't think my waistline would agree with me

Friendly pub with a new manager who is very helpful. Great place for an afternoon drink, we didn’t eat this time but saw the food come out for other people and it looked good, will definitely be eating next time we visit

It’s a lovely pub. Jed’s a welcoming landlord and there’s a broad choice of ales, gins and the rest.
