Very Good surprisingly big pub! Very lively and welcoming with many rooms, all nice, and a massive garden sitting space with canopy terrace for the rain we had. There was love music, Saturday night, brilliant Rooms: We stayed over night, a lovely enough room, basic facilities, clean, very polite and informative staff, would definitely recommend, provided you can sleep through noise or want to sleep after the pub closes and wake up when the trams and people outside do about 7am, but what do you expect? Close to the tram stop, this is a traditional multi-roomed pub which still retains the old Shipstone's windows. Each room has a character of its own and a warm welcome is assured here. On the bar, there is a great range of about half-a-dozen or so ales, mainly from smaller local breweries. The menu focuses on good quality pizzas and burgers which aren't cheap but are reasonable value for their size and quality. They also do some lighter meals and sandwiches at lunchtimes. Well worth a 15 minute tram ride from the city centre.

Great pub and very good craic, food is good and staff very friendly, professional and attentive. Perfect for a couple of nights stay, rooms extremely clean -better than many hotels- and tidy, recently renovated I would say. Tram stop a few yards away which runs until after midnight. Visited for thd first time. Quick friendly service's, all staff were polite and made you feel welcomed. It's large pub, outside looks are deceiving, the garden at the back is big and clean. Nice area to sit out on a sunny day with family and friends. Service: 5 Location: 4 Reserva una mesa ahora

A really nice place for something to eat or just a pint and relax. We are local and this is our go-to place to take friends visitors when they come here. Always a really nice afternoon or evening in The Star.

We always visit for Oxjam music festival and this pub is probably the busiest and the best out of all the pubs that take part. Food drinks: Decent prices for drinks. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5

Good range of beers available. A brewery takeover was on at the time. Friendly staff. Not far from the railway station. Trams pass the front if the pub.
