My Wife passed away in March this year. The Funeral Director recommended The Star Inn as a good venue for the Wake. Ian, the Boss, and his staff, looked after us so well, nothing was any trouble to them, they over catered for 90+ people, and allowed folks to take away anything left! The Pub itself is spotless, tastefully decorated, very spacious, warm and cosy, and, should it be a warm day, with a lovely sheltered Beer garden. They honoured us greatly, I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I stopped by the restaurant one Friday afternoon in May (2024) and was surprised to find that a pint of Coors was priced at £4.80. A friendly lady outside greeted me with a cheerful hello, while inside, it seemed like I was bothering the staff. Initially, I thought the place was closed because the door was left open.
Myself and 3 others decided to call in to the star last night sat 6th May and unbelievably was greeted by the most rude and unprofessional bar women I’ve come across. We left straight away and took our business elsewhere . I would not recommend this place at all until some good customer service is provided .
