We have recently been to The Star and had a couple of meals. I really enjoyed the pie's They are really tasty and filling with a great portion. The staff are friendly and helpful Great atmosphere in the Inn Also I've taken my staff for a drink and it's nice to find somewhere you can just relax. Plenty of seating inside and out with a play area for the little ones. Easily located just out of Wakefield on the Batley rd Good sized car park Definitely worth a try It is a good place to walk to as there are plenty of countryside walks locally
Probably chose the worst evening to visit when restaurant/kitchen was short staffed but instead of letting diners know what was going on (found out via their post the next day on facebook), they tried to cram everyone in and then had people waiting over 2 hours for food to arrive. A number of tables walked out. It's a shame because the food was nice (not up to Tingley balti usual standard), but still OK.
Second time visiting in 2 days. After hearing it was under new management we thought we’d pay a visit. A great welcome on the first night and a bonus that it was a free Thai taster night. Booked to come again on Wednesday for steak night. Had one of the nicest fillet steaks I’ve had in a long time! We’re looking forward to coming back and trying the Sunday roast. Lovely outside area for the sunny days!
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service was top-notch, with friendly and polite staff. The Sunday lunch was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this place for a five-star dining experience.

I was thoroughly impressed with this restaurant. The food was great and I'm very glad we decided to make a random stop here. The food was superb! They offer a good Sunday menu with options for 1, 2, or 3 courses. Highly recommend.
Lovely lunch on a Monday,friendly and welcoming service, tasty food and well maintained inside and out so you've a choice dependent on weather and how you feel. Great to have a quality local close to home. Thank you.
This is our local pub, where dining a place for their food and quality. Attentive service from their friendly staff which creates a great atmosphere. Best of all, they cater for our precious furry friends.
