I've always enjoyed coming here for the pork chops, but this time I was disappointed with the bruschetta – it wasn't what I expected and I wouldn't recommend it. The food runners were more polite than our server, who seemed disinterested and didn’t show any friendliness or warmth. It felt like we were more of an inconvenience to her. I think it would be beneficial for servers to suggest specific drinks that pair with the food options. It's a whiskey bar, but there was no enthusiasm when talking about drink selections, which definitely detracted from the experience.
Terrible service! We had a reservation but still ended up waiting over 35 minutes. Our server forgot our drinks and made a face when we reminded her. She also forgot to take our order. The food took an additional 30 minutes to arrive. We arrived at 8:45 and left at 11:30 PM. It was the worst experience ever!
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The ribeye was absolutely delicious, which is impressive since I'm quite picky about my steak. The drinks were equally enjoyable; I tried the basil bourbon lemonade and loved it. I will definitely return. The food and drinks were extraordinary for the price!
Everything was tasty portions were perfect! Loved the ambiance. Ordered the braised short ribs, bread pudding crème brule. Ordered the new year new brew it was delicious! Staff was on it. Good experience:

Went for my boyfreind’s 21st birthday and it was an amazing. He loved it. If you want something with more flavorful drinks and delicious food, this is the place for sure.
We had a wonderful time with friends. The food was delicious and the service was good. This was our first visit to The State and we will definitely return.
